The L2Reload patch is not published yet. The server is in closed test mode. The patch will be released here as soon as open testing begins, and this page will be updated the same day.
1. Lineage II Interlude (C6) client
You need a full Interlude (C6) client — the same chronicle the server runs on. A client from any other chronicle (Gracia, Freya, High Five and so on) will not connect, no matter which patch you install.
The client is roughly 4–5 GB and is the unmodified game installation. We do not host it ourselves; if you already played Interlude on any server, that client will work. A verified download mirror will be listed here together with the patch.
2. L2Reload system patch
The patch replaces the system folder inside your Lineage II directory. It contains:
● the server address, so the client can reach L2Reload;
● names, descriptions and icons for our custom weapons, armor and items;
● corrected item behaviour, so custom equipment displays and stacks the way the server expects.
Without the patch you cannot connect at all. With an outdated patch you can connect, but custom items may show wrong names, wrong icons, or fail to sell.
3. Installation (once the patch is out)
● Delete the old system folder from your Lineage II Interlude directory. Skipping this step is the most common cause of connection problems.
● Extract the patch into the Lineage II directory and confirm Yes To All when asked to replace files.
● Start the game with l2.exe.
4. During testing
The patch will be updated often while the server is being built. Every update has to be downloaded again — an old patch against a newer server is the usual reason items look broken.
If the game does not start or you get an error, report it on the forum with the exact message.
